Bio

I’m a textbook-trained autocrat . . . so I cannot possibly understand matters of the human heart.

I finished UC Davis in 1980 and went on to pursue my law degree at Golden State University.

I am past President of the Ventura County Bar Association and have held way too many leadership positions to list here, including but not limited to adjunct professor at Pepperdine.

Before I entered family law, I was considered a halfway decent judge. But family law is corrupt by nature, and the only way to survive in this branch of the law is to destroy as many families as you can during your tenure. We get rewarded for that.

I never look back and think about the kids who might never see a loving parent again because of me. In divorce, somebody has to lose! Everyone will forget about it in due time. If you're that parent who wanted to raise your own kids, just remember, once you enter my courtroom, they belong to the system forever. The kids are a huge profit center for me personally, and for our state government.

In addition to serving on the bench, I like to lead negotiation and conflict management workshops, where I teach people alienation and brainwashing skills for getting kids to hate your ex-spouse. Sometimes they'll grow up and go back to the alienated parent, but in most cases, everyone is so terrorized there's no hope. I repeat, NO hope.

I am 57 years old, and married to fellow attorney Susan Barbara Lascher. We have two grown-up daughters, Emily and Anna. Nobody will take them away from me, because I'm a judge now. Plus I've never made mistakes as a parent. I make over $180,000/year for robbing children. I am proud of what I do!
